Audition Rotation Information
Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital would like to invite you to be a part of our Graduate Medical Education Program. We offer a four-week orthopaedic audition rotation for 4th year medical students. Students will be working directly with our world-renowned physicians who specialize in the following practice areas: Spine, Hand & Upper Extremity, Adult Reconstruction, Foot & Ankle, Pediatric Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine, and Trauma.
The requirements to apply for an audition rotation with our facilities are as follows:
- 4th Year Medical Student in good standing
- Obtaining a PASS on step/level 1 of COMLEX/USMLE
- Affiliation Agreement with your medical school
- Certificate of Liability from your medical school
Audition rotations are held between June and November each year. To be considered for an audition rotation please submit your audition request through VSLO.
The following documents will be needed in order to submit your request through VSLO:
- Hughston Education Packet
- JHMH/THC/HSC Non-Employee Orientation Packets
- Student Contact Form
- Immunization Record
- Hep B (proof or denial)
- PPD (within 12 months of rotation start date)
- Flu shot (October-March)
- COVID Vaccine (proof or exemption)
- Drug Screen
- Background Check
- Current BLS and ACLS Card
- Current CV
- Letter of Good Standing from your medical school
It is the policy of the Graduate Medical Education Department that we have an affiliation agreement with your school, Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital, The Hughston Clinic, The Hughston Surgical Center 90 days prior to your scheduled rotation.
