Saturday Injury Clinics are provided by the Hughston Clinic every Saturday during regular high school football season. The clinic is from 8:30 AM until 10:00 AM, at Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia. It is for high school students who have suffered an injury during the week and need to be seen by a physician. There is one physician and multiple athletic trainers at the clinic each Saturday.
When arriving to the clinic, the patient must be with a legal guardian. The legal guardian will sign the patient in and fill out a few necessary forms. Then, the patient will be taken into an examination room where an athletic trainer will examine the patient. Once the examination is complete the athletic trainer escorts the patient to get an x-ray and then back to their examination room. The physician will then come to examine the patient, discuss the x-ray results, and provide treatment recommendations for the patient.
